Five Year 9 students and two members of staff set off on the long trip to Korolev City nr Moscow to film

the Space Olympics. The Space Olympics is an annual event with teams from Australia, America, Greece

Uk and Russia taking part. Our brief was to make a 2030min promotional DVD about the event and Russia in general.  The students visited Red Square, The Kremlin, local schools and Enterprises and were given talks by cosmonauts that have been on the International Space Station.

The students involved were Shafeen Yasin, Arfan Kazam, Mohammed Ammer, Hannan Rafiq and

Ibrar Arshad. The two members of staff were Mr S Jones (Head of Business and Enterprise) and

Mr M Wilson (Assistant Head Teacher). We were also accompanied on the trip by Sophia Khan

(The Children's University in Bradford).

The second aim of the trip was to set up business links to buy Russian goods such as authentic dolls,

badges, hats, tshirts etc as we are setting up an enterprise company called RUSHOFF ( Russian Offers)

to import and sell the goods around the Bradford area. This will become a sustainable business with

two main objectives? to give students the skills and experiences they need to become the entrepreneurs of the future and to help fund future trips to the Olympics.
