£2000 raised for Children in  Need  

November 12th to16th was charity week at Greenhead in aid of BBC Children in Need.

A total of £2000 was raised by staff and students during the week. 

The week forms part of year 11 students’ Citizenship course work for which they have to plan,

organise and run events to raise money for a good cause. The different events which took place

at break, lunch times and after school.

Activities were many and varied involving a lot of hard work and organisation.  Activities included:-

  • Sponge the teacher
  • PS2 competitions
  • Name the teddy
  • Different food stalls selling Asian food, sweets and home-made cakes
  • Football tournament
  • Car washing
  • Asian dancing
  • Pool tournament

We would like to say a big thank you to year 11 for their exceptional effort and also thank all those who also helped with all the work behind the scenes.
